These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Upturn Consultancy LLC, operating under the trade name Nosis, accessible via its mobile application and website (the “Platform”). Nosis is headquartered at Sharjah Media City (SHAMS), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. By accessing or using the Platform, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
Nosis: The Platform and digital services operated by Upturn Consultancy LLC.
User: Any individual who accesses or uses the Nosis Platform.
Platform: Nosis’s mobile and/or web application.
Subscription: Paid access packages for premium content on Nosis.
Content: Includes, but is not limited to, book summaries, audio, video, illustrations, and other materials provided by Nosis.
2. Scope of Services
Nosis provides book summaries and other educational content in various formats and languages through a freemium model. Users may:
Access one summary per day via rewarded ads, or
Unlock full access through a paid subscription.
3. User Accounts and Access
Users must be at least 18 years old, or at least 14 years old with verified parental or guardian consent.
Users are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account and credentials.
Nosis reserves the right to deactivate any account found in violation of these Terms.
4. Free and Paid Use
Free Use: One daily summary access in exchange for watching an ad.
Paid Access: Monthly or yearly subscriptions.
All payments are processed via app stores. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in advance.
5. Trials, Cancellations, and Refunds
Nosis may offer trial periods from time to time.
Users can cancel subscriptions at any time via the respective app store.
Refunds are only issued in accordance with applicable law or the refund policy of the respective app store.
Special Clause for Users in India: In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, users in India are entitled to:
Cancel a transaction prior to final confirmation.
Receive clear and transparent information about digital products.
File complaints, which Nosis commits to resolve within 15 business days.

6. Intellectual Property
All content available on the Platform is the exclusive property of Nosis or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Reproduction or distribution is prohibited without written permission.
7. User-Generated Content
By submitting content to the Platform (e.g., comments, reviews, or other contributions), the User grants Nosis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, display, and distribute such content.
If a User submits summaries, manuscripts, or other substantive materials to Nosis, the User represents that they have the legal right to such content and grants Nosis a license to use, modify, publish, and distribute it as part of its services.
Nosis reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content it deems to violate laws, community standards, or these Terms.
8. Copyright Takedown Requests
If you believe your copyrighted work has been used or published on the Nosis Platform without valid authorization, you may submit a removal request with the following details:
Full contact information (name, address, email)
Clear description of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed
URL or exact location of the alleged infringement
A statement affirming your good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
A sworn declaration that the information provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
A physical or electronic signature

Note: For users in jurisdictions such as the United States, these requests are processed under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). In other jurisdictions, they are handled according to applicable copyright regulations.
9. Third-Party Services
Your access or use of third-party tools, services, or websites is at your own risk. Nosis does not guarantee the security, reliability, or availability of such services and assumes no responsibility for any resulting losses or disruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability
The Nosis Platform is provided “as is” without any warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any losses resulting from your use of the Platform.
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by the laws of your jurisdiction, including but not limited to data protection and consumer rights provisions.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising in connection with the use of the Platform will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Sharjah, UAE, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights under your local laws.
13. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will become effective once published on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after updates indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
